Eligibility*
All active 2009 members, including renewing Architect, Associate, International Associate, and Allied (Institute only) members who receive a 2010 dues renewal invoice, are eligible if you can show you are experiencing financial hardship. (New and reinstated members are not eligible to participate.) By enrolling into the program, you will be acknowledging hardship.
Enrollment
The payment plan is open. You may enroll between now and April 30.
To enroll, you must agree to the plan’s terms and conditions and pay a $17.25 service fee to help cover the costs of administering the plan. The service fee will be added in equal portions to your monthly installment payments.
You can access the enrollment form online and return your completed form (with credit or debit card payment information) via e-mail or fax. Payments by check will not be accepted. During the installment period, you may update or change your credit or debit card account by signing a new authorization form and submitting it to the AIA by e-mail or fax.
Firms that choose to use the payment plan on behalf of their employees must enroll their AIA members individually. The firm must also have an authorized credit or debit account from which each member’s dues can be paid.
Payment Schedule
When you enroll in the payment plan, you authorize the AIA to charge monthly payments to your credit or debit card until the full amount of your dues payment is reached. You will receive an e-mail confirmation when you enroll in the plan and for each payment received after your credit or debit card has been charge. Depending on your date of enrollment, your account will be charged according to the credit card authorization dates below.

Cancellation
You may opt out of the payment plan at any time. To opt out, simply let the AIA know in writing of your desire to leave the plan. Your prorated membership dues will be due in full when you opt out of the plan.
If the AIA does not receive your installment payment within 30 calendar days (e.g., because your credit or debit card was declined), we will cancel our agreement. In that event, any remaining balance on your 2010 dues will become due and payable immediately.
