Knowledge is the most valuable asset of the architect. In this podcast, we discuss the AIA Knowledge Agenda, which the Board Knowledge Committee crafted over the past 18 months with input from a large body of stakeholders across the Institute.
Walter J. Hainsfurther, FAIA will complete a two-year term as Institute vice president in December 2010. In that role, he chairs the Board Knowledge Committee and is the Executive Committee liaison to the AIA Committee on the Environment. Walter is president of Kurtz Associates Architects, a small firm in Des Plaines, Illinois, and his long history of AIA leadership includes the 2005 presidency of AIA Illinois. On the AIA Board, he served as the regional director for AIA Illinois from 2005 through 2008 and has headed subcommittees that developed legislative initiatives and component performance guidelines. He also chaired the Advisory Group of the AIA Technology in Architectural Practice Knowledge Community in 1999.
