    • April 8—Pennsylvania Avenue: What Is, Was, and May Have Been. Walk down Pennsylvania Avenue from Freedom Plaza toward the U.S. Capitol.     • April 8—Old Post Office: Architecture, Styles, and Change. Discover the architectural style of the Old Post Office and explore how changing times (almost) affected the building. Tour starts at 3 pm. in the Old Post Office Tower lobby. Call Julia Clebsch, 202-606-8691, for more information.

    • April 8—Meridian Hill Park in Spring. Discover the story of this man-made oasis while strolling scenic walkways flanked by statues and fountain works.  Meet at the Joan of Arc statue above the cascading waterfall. Ages 8 and older. Tour starts at 10 a.m.

    • April 13—Building of the White House, an interpretive talk on the original design competition and construction process of the White House. Visit www.nps.gov/whho for more information. Talks begin at 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. at the White House Visitor Center, 1450 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW.
