Reconsidering the Role of Air Movement in Design

Large diameter, low speed fans are not simply an alternative to traditional air conditioning. When designed as part of the HVAC system, circulator fans have been proven to offset HVAC capacity in a space. Elevated air speeds reduce energy consumption in the summer by allowing a building operator to increase the thermostat setpoint without sacrificing comfort. Fans also increase ventilation effectiveness and air quality by ensuring fresh air introduced to the building reaches the occupant zone.

A Fan for Every Design

From schools to office buildings, fitness facilities to outdoor pavilions, there’s a Big Ass Fan for your design. Review some of the recent projects we’ve worked on:

Taking the Ceiling Fan from Afterthought to First Thought

It’s true; our company got its start making large fans for warehouses and agricultural settings. But when people asked if they could install those industrial behemoths in schools, offices and even their homes, it didn’t take us long to realize that a Big Ass Fan for quieter, more stylish settings was needed. With this in mind we set out to design a fan that maintained Big Ass efficiency and effectiveness while emphasizing the unique needs of commercial and residential spaces.
