2008 AIA Advocacy Congressional Visits
![]() |
What is the
Advocacy Week
program?
Advocacy Week was launched in March 2008 as an organized,
in-district congressional visit program designed to connect AIA
members with their congressional representatives during district
work periods. With the success of the initial week-long program,
AIA National is encouraging components to organize visits during
future in-district work periods. The next two work periods are for
the Memorial Day (the week of May 25) and July 4 (the week of June
24) holidays.
Much like our annual ventures to Capitol Hill during the Grassroots
Leadership and Legislative Conference, Advocacy Week will allow AIA
members the chance to communicate the importance of the AIA issues
agenda and strengthen relationships between Members of Congress and
the architectural profession...
