Get in the Game with the ArchiPAC Games! By Wendy Perez-Young, Manager, Political Action Committee & Compliance |
Members that visited the ArchiPAC Lounge during the AIA National Convention and Design Exposition learned that AIA’s PAC is doing something a little different this year. In an effort to draw more excitement for the upcoming elections and to reach its overall goal of $201,200 and 2,012 contributors the PAC launched a new fundraising campaign – the ArchiPAC Games. The campaign gives members the opportunity to participate in ArchiPAC in two ways: 1. Make a contribution of $100 or more to ArchiPAC and become a part of the ArchiPAC team as a Team Player, Team Captain or Team Owner and receive a photo of Washington, DC architecture. 2. Or sign up for the ArchiPAC Games Fundraising Competition and be a team Coach. Coaches are members that want to help raise funds for ArchiPAC. Contact Wendy Perez-Young, Manager of PAC and Compliance, at (202) 626-7381 or via email to get started in the competition or view ArchiPAC Games flyer for more information. Make a contribution to ArchiPAC online! There are two awards up for grabs in the fundraising competition. The Gold Cup of Fame will be awarded to the member that raises the most funds, and the Silver Cup of Honor will be given to the member that brings in the most donors to ArchiPAC. Members that participate in the fundraising competition will also receive a personal thank you gift, note cards, name recognition, and two extra passes to attend the 2013 PAC reception at Grassroots or Convention. Fundraising may sound a bit overwhelming, but it doesn’t have to be. The AIA has all the resources to make your fundraising efforts a success. Members that participate in the fundraising competition will receive a fundraising play book, along with personalized guidance, and assistance when needed. You can visit www.archipac.org for the latest on the ArchiPAC Games, stats and the most recent spring edition of the ArchiPAC E-Newsletter. The games end by November 6, 2012 – General Election Day. ArchiPAC is still going strong this election, raising a little over $20,000 at the AIA National Convention and Design Exposition. This increases the overall funds raised in 2012 to $87,000 while reaching 855 contributors. We only have 5 months left to get our voices heard in this election and to reach our $201,200 goal. Don’t wait until the election is over! Get in the game today! |
