AIA to Attend National Political Conventions |
In a couple of weeks, staff and members of the American Institute of Architects will be heading to the Republican and Democratic National Conventions. The Republican National Convention will take place August 27-August 30th, followed by the Democratic National Convention September 4-6th. The conventions, which only occur a couple months prior to the Presidential Election every four years, will give the Presidential nominees for both parties an opportunity to address the public and introduce their platform. However, it also gives organizations such as AIA the opportunity to meet with candidates and to put a face on the architectural profession. As customary, there will be several events happening during the course of the week in which AIA will be participating. AIA will be documenting and sharing those experiences through Facebook and Twitter. You can also follow the DesignVote12 hashtag on Twitter, #dv12, to keep up with the activities of AIA members in attendance. Although you may not be able to attend the conventions, we invite you to follow us through these important events! |
