What Is The Architecture Profession Worth To You?

By Wendy Perez Young, Manager, Political Action Committee & Compliance

Whether you are at home or heading to the upcoming Leadership and Legislative Conference (March20-23) ask yourself, “What is the Architecture profession worth to you?” Are you willing to give up a dime-a-day, a cup of coffee a week, a dollar-a-day to make an investment toward the future of a profession you love? Your participation in ArchiPAC couldn’t be simpler.

ArchiPAC is a partner of AIA’s grassroots efforts by laying the groundwork in establishing our presence on Capitol Hill. Through ArchiPAC we can engage candidates on our issues early and help elect responsible candidates to federal office that will listen to our story before coming to a vote.

Last election was one of ArchiPAC’s most successful.

    • It raised $157,000 (25 percent more than compared to 2011).

    • It supported 74 candidates in the 2012 congressional elections, out of which, 89 percent of candidates supported by ArchiPAC won.

    • 75 percent of contributions made by ArchiPAC were delivered by AIA members in their district.

Our advocacy efforts are more effective because of ArchiPAC’s accomplishments but advocacy is ongoing and that includes our political involvement. Click here to view a listing our legislative accomplishments.

ArchiPAC is only as strong as the membership support it receives. We highly encourage and welcome your involvement in this meaningful activity. To support this cause please make a personal investment online today at of at least a dime-a-day ($36.50), a cup of coffee a week ($2 a week) or a dollar-a-day ($365). To make it even easier you may also select to fulfill your contribution through smaller credit card installments. Simply fill out the form and click on “I would like to make this a recurring contribution.” Again... it couldn’t be simpler.

If you are traveling to Washington, DC in March for the Leadership and Legislative Conference, you may also stop by the ArchiPAC Lounge to make your investment in person and pick up your 2013 ArchiPAC lapel pin.

Through your personal investment we can help lead our profession to a brighter more secure future.
