THAT’S A WRAP!
ArchiPAC ended the AIA 2014 Grassroots Leadership and Legislative Conference in Washington by raising over $54,000 from 277 individuals. ArchiPAC supporters included AIA members, and staff from the state components to the national office. Because of their support ArchiPAC has raised $202,081 and has 1,286 contributors for the two-year fundraising cycle which ends December 31.
ArchiPAC’s goal is to raise $400,000 and achieve a five percent participation rate from the AIA membership (4,021 individuals). Thank you everyone that made a donation to ArchiPAC at Grassroots and for helping to get us one step closer to our goals!
To encourage member involvement the Advocacy Network ArchiPAC Fundraising Committee, which is comprised of volunteers, created a variety of fundraising activities for the week. Here’s a wrap up on what happened at Grassroots:
Most Engaged Advocates
For the second year in a row the Fellows swept the Architects and Emerging Professionals in the Most Engaged Advocates Competition. The Fellows ended the conference with 58 percent of their registrants participating in ArchiPAC. Architects were second with 33-percent participation, and although the Emerging Professionals were close to knocking the Architects out of second place, they came out in third with a 29-percent participation rate. There’s always next year!

Nearly a third of ArchiPAC’s annual receipts come from the Grassroots Leadership Conference. The second highest receipt generating meeting comes from the AIA Annual Convention. Stay tuned for a preview of what to expect at this year’s 2014 AIA Convention in Chicago.
If you did not contribute to ArchiPAC during the Grassroots Conference it is not too late! We have an annual goal of raising $400,000 by December 31. Please help that effort by making a generous donation at www.archipac.org/contribute.
Under federal election law, all contributions must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents. Contributions to ArchiPAC are not tax deductible.
