Missed the Healthcare Webinar? | ||
Health care planning and medical infrastructure development are two areas that will undergo a major shift over the next few years and to help us better understand how to prepare, we hosted an event titled “The Affordable Care Act and You” that drew over 550 members to participate, ask questions and contribute to a discussion of best practices for the profession. This presentation focused on what the Affordable Care Act means for small and large businesses, as well as for individuals and tackled which areas architects can expect additional medical investment as the law is implemented across the 50 states. Video of the presentation will be available over the next few weeks, but a copy of the PowerPoint presentation is currently available on the AIA Advocacy Facebook page. Members attending the webinar, both in-person and through WebEx, were also able to receive one CES Learning Unit for the course. The AIA is continuously striving to find new and creative ways to ensure our membership is well informed and prepared to engage the professional challenges of tomorrow. With such heightened and encouraging interest for current, relevant presentations that cover the issues impacting architecture, we are preparing the next webinar for January 2013 titled “Crowdfunding Architecture”, which will address a developing, innovative method for generating interest and funding for local architecture projects. A sampling of the work the AIA has done to apprise members of this tool is located here and here. Thank you again for helping us make this program a success and we hope you will join us again in January! |
