Jessica Salmoiraghi, Director, Federal Relations & Counsel will be on hand to answer your questions about this trade mission or even about trade mission programs in general. Follow the conversation with the hashtag #aiatrade!

The mission application deadline is March 22, 2013. For more information about the trade mission, please visit www.export.gov/BrazilColombiaPanama2013.

For those of you in the Chicago area or the Midwest, AIA and AIA Chicago are hosting a workshop titled “Working abroad in India: Pros, Cons, and Ways Forward” on Tuesday, April 30th at AIA Chicago. This session will allow practitioners who are interested in working abroad to get insight into the process from AIA members who have worked overseas. Speakers from the Department of Commerce, the Overseas Private Investment Corporation, and the Small Business Administration will discuss federal programs that can assist as architects are looking to expand their practice abroad. In addition, there will be opportunities for networking during and after the event.

If you were interested in participating in a trade mission to India or are looking for more information about expanding your practice to another country, this will provide an excellent introduction to resources that the AIA has to assist you.

For more information on this workshop please contact Derek Washam at derekwasham@aia.org
