The AIA and the AIA Chicago component are hosting a morning training session to help you and your firm seize the numerous architectural opportunities in thriving and emerging overseas markets. Working Abroad in India – Pros, Cons, & Ways Forward will provide you with first-hand knowledge of the ins and outs of working in foreign countries. India will serve as a catalyst for discussion, as it offers a myriad of opportunities to expand your business portfolio and provides an interesting case study for any international work. The event will be hosted at AIA Chicago, 35 East Wacker Drive from 8:30am until noon.

But why should you attend?

    1. This training session will provided first-hand knowledge of what it is like to start to expand your practice abroad.

    2. It is an opportunity to learn about resources the U.S. government provides to help you be successful. Expanding abroad can be extremely rewarding, but it also comes with a number of risks. By attending, you can learn of a number of ways you can help insure your success.

    3. Foreign markets can be tricky. Trying to navigate foreign regulatory and legal systems can be overwhelming and discouraging. This training session will help you prepare for some of the challenges you will face.
