New Speaker Joins “Working Abroad in India: Pros, Cons, and Ways Forward”
By Derek Washam, Manager, Federal & International Programs
We are happy to announce a new speaker for "Working Abroad in India – Pros, Cons, & Ways Forward." Jonathan Orlove of Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill will now be joined by L. Randall Buescher of HOK. Buescher has worked in India continuously for five years, accumulating over 30 trips to the country and millions of square feet of projects. With Orlove, a participant on the first architecture trade mission to India, the two will provide an exciting and dynamic look at all stages of working in India, from initial interest to project completion. Be sure to join us at AIA Chicago on April 30 to hear their experiences.
“Working Abroad in India: Pros, Cons, and Ways Forward” is a prime opportunity to learn not only about the opportunities that exist in India, but also all aspects of working anywhere across the globe. This session will provide access to fellow architects with first-hand experiences and to numerous government resources, such as the Department of Commerce, Export-Import Bank, and the Small Business Administration. This knowledge can provide you an important foundation to expanding overseas, whether it assists in finding the right market or helps you navigate foreign legal and regulatory regimes. The event will be hosted at AIA Chicago, 35 East Wacker Drive from 8:30am until noon.
