three awards programs that the AIA cosponsors with other groupsthe
AIA/Housing PIA Awards, AIA/HUD Secretary's Awards, and the AIA/American
Library Association Library Buildings Awards of Excellencehave due
dates fast approaching. If you have designed or know of a library or housing
worthy of recognition, consider submitting an entry to these awards programs.
AIA Housing PIA Awards recognize
the best in housing design. The program emphasizes the importance of good
housing as a necessity of life, a sanctuary for the human spirit, and
a valuable national resource.
Entry fees ($200/per entry) due November 22, 2002.
Submissions due December 20, 2002.
AIA/ALA Library Awards of Excellence
encourage excellence in the architectural design and planning of libraries.
Entry fees ($250/per entry) due December 13, 2002.
Submissions due January 10, 2003.
AIA/HUD Secretary's Housing and
Community Design Awards recognize excellence in housing and community
design and that good design is the cornerstone of well-planned homes and
communities. These awards demonstrate that design matters and provide
examples of important benchmarks in the housing industry.
Entry fees ($150/per entry) due January 10, 2003.
Submissions due February 7, 2003.
