AIA Dallas' Emerging Leadership Program
The AIA Dallas Leadership Committee spent several years brainstorming and working diligently to come up with a program that fosters up-and-coming individuals for leadership. The leadership program would identify, cultivate and mentor emerging professionals in three areas related to the architecture and construction profession: the firm, the profession, and the community. 2009 was the inaugural year with 19 graduates from the AIA Dallas Emerging Leaders Program. AIA Members and Architectural Universities Impacting Reconstruction in Haiti
A Follow-Up Interview with Sam Moschelli
On January 12, 2010 a disastrous earthquake registering 7.0 on the Richter scale struck the nation of Haiti. In an effort to aid in the reconstruction, Sam Moschelli traveled to Haiti with a team of Lawrence Technological University (LTU) students to assist in building homes for the PWOJE ESPWA SUD orphanage that was affected by the earthquake. Herman Miller for Healthcare Intern Architect Scholarship Program
Herman Miller for Healthcare will sponsor eight intern architects to attend HealthcareDesign10, the fall conference of the Center for Health Design/AIA Academy of Architecture for Health. The conference will be held at the MGM Grand Hotel, Las Vegas, NV on November 13-16, 2010.
