2008 Institute Honor Awards Online Submission FAQs

How do I know my submission has been received?
You will receive a confirmation number upon completion of your entry.

What if I want to make changes after I have completed my submission?
You can edit your submission up to the deadline date at midnight, Eastern Time.

How will I know my attachments were uploaded?
To view your attachments, click the attachment file name in the "Attachment" column located at the bottom of the File Upload page.  Your PDF or JPEG will open - the juror will view it just as you have created it.

What if I can not upload an attachment?
First, make sure the file you are uploading is either in PDF or JPEG format.  These are the only two types of files able to be uploaded so that we can maintain cross platform compatibility.  This ensures that the Mac vs. PC question does not come into play.

What if I have a PDF or JPEG file and am still not able to upload the attachment?
All files to be uploaded must be smaller than 6MB.  Please check that your file meets these requirements. The system will not allow anything larger for your convenience, time requirements, and server space.

What if I am not capable of converting a file to a PDF or JPEG?
Most copy centers and local libraries can help you convert your files.  Technical support will also help you with your file conversion - they can be reached from the link on the on-line submission labeled "Problems, Questions, Comments?" located in the upper right hand corner of each page.

Why am I limited to the number of uploads?
There has always been a limit to the number of exhibits allowed so that the jury has adequate time to review each submission thoroughly.

When will I know the jury's decision?
We will call all recipients within 3 days of the jury meeting.

What if I change my mind and do not want to submit?
The decision to submit your application should be made very carefully before you enter the payment information. Once you have entered that information and click "save and continue", you will be charged and no refunds will be issued.
