The National Associates Committee is a standing committee of the AIA, and is the primary representative body for Associate members of the American Institute of Architects. The NAC Advisory Committee operates on a session year defined from January 1st to December 31st of a calendar year. The National Associates Committee (NAC) is dedicated to serving Associate members of the AIA in the advancement of their careers.
The NAC seeks to assess, formulate, and communicate the needs for policies, programs, and resources for non‐licensed individuals, trained as architects and Associates. The NAC promotes and develops a national network of regional, local and state Associate directors to formalize and establish a source of communication and representation on issues pertaining to non‐licensed practitioners and Associates. The NAC Advisory Committee (“AdCom”) also monitors, develops, and promotes existing and new programs for Associate members.
