Interns and AIA Contract Documents

AIA Contract Documents are the most widely used standard form documents in the design and construction industry. These forms and contracts define the relationships and terms involved in design and construction projects. The appropriate contracts can prevent conflicts and help create more successful collaborations between industry professionals.

How interns and ARE Candidates can utilize AIA Contract Documents

Interns and candidates for the Architect Registration Examination (ARE) can and should utilize AIA Contract Documents as study materials for the Construction Documents and Services division of the ARE. In addition, interns and ARE candidates are prompted to reference certain AIA Contract Documents when completing activities in the Emerging Professional’s Companion, an online resource to gain IDP credit.

In the sections below are two lists of AIA Contract Documents sample PDFs available for interns and ARE Candidates to utilize in each of the settings described.
