AIA CES Award for Excellence Winners

The AIA is continually seeking to share with it’s members a selection of those CES Providers that consistently meet CES core quality standards. As the list grows you will notice that most CES Providers will receive 2-3 stars. We assess the CES Provider’s program content; delivery methods; administrative accuracy, timeliness, and effectiveness; and their cost to AIA members and other architects. Providers that frequently display reporting problems, receive occasional complaints about inaccurate or misleading advertising, slip using their logos, products or promotions will receive fewer stars. Ease of participation will often lead to an additional star. Some CES Providers build ongoing needs assessment and evaluations processes into all of their programs providing continuous improvement, so we add a star.

Generally speaking, CES Provider ratings are based on how well their programs and support systems consistently meet the CES basic quality standards. A few go beyond our expectations, demonstrating to all why they deserve additional stars. We consider those with 5 stars to be model programs, such that members count on consistently anywhere and every time they are offered. Red Star reviews are based upon combined reports from at least three different sources, often more and are based on at least three recent years of CES Provider activities. Assessments and reviews are received from a variety of sources which include CES Provider Assessors, Jurors for the AIA/CES Award for Excellence, State Licensing Boards, past and present members of the Continuing Education Quality Assurance Panel (CEQAP), and in conjunction with staff from AIA/CES National, the AIA/CES Record Office at the University of Oklahoma, and AIA member responding to random surveys.
