What is ‘DU’? It stands for Document Units. With an AIA Contract Documents Limited License, customers have access to all documents and can only convert a limited number of documents to their final form in the 12 month license period. Each document is assigned a ‘unit’ value whereby customers choose the documents they need for projects up to 300 DUs per year. Document unit values range from 0 to 25 per document. See list.
