Why isn't State/Metro Area/City included in the Compensation Report?

The data in the following compensation tables were included only if they met strict reporting criteria. For a geographic area to be reported, at least 10 offices (establishments) had to respond to the AIA survey. Within the tables, at least five responding offices were required in order to report mean/median data, and at least seven responding offices to report upper and lower quartile data for a position.

Do you have an interm update for the Compensation Report?

You may use the estimated compensation increases from the monthly Work-on-the-Boards survey to update the numbers from the 2005 Compensation Report. For example: For the Architect 1 position, the 2005 average compensation for the Washington, D.C. Metro Area was $45,900. Add the 4.4% increase for 2006, bringing the figure up to an estimated $47,900. Then add the 4.2% increase for 2007, bringing the estimated current salary to $49,900.

In 2007, average compensation increased by 4.2% for licensed architects, 4.1% for nonregistered graduates, 4.0% for interns, and 3.7% for principals/partners.

In 2006, average compensation increased by 4.4% for licensed architects, 4.2% for nonregistered graduates, 4.0% for interns, and 3.5% for principals/partners.

Who can participate in the Work-on-the-Boards panel and how do I sign up?
