Finishing up your Provider Training as the foundation to your CES program

By Ramiro Solórzano, Assoc. AIA
Manager, CES Provider Audits

July 30, 2013

This year to improve the quality of your education we are training our new primary points of contacts in their new roles for AIA CES. I want to make sure that you find the resources for Provider Training useful and become familiar with the Provider Manual.

I look forward to a successful year and our ongoing relationship as we continually seek ways to ever improve our educational courses. I will be following up with points of contacts that have not finished or are having trouble finishing up your training within the 90 days allotted.

I would also like to emphasize to please consider us a resource as you finish your training. That being said, I would be more than happy to review your course presentation and any additional materials including course evaluations, certificates of completions templates, and attendance sign-in sheets. When reviewing your course I do not look at content since you are the expert in your field. However I take into consideration that the course is educational in nature and that quality standards outlined in the Provider Manual are maintained.

I am always looking for diversity of educational offerings and what your organization can contribute to the life-long learning experience of our members and allied design professionals. There are always advancements and trends in the design profession, but also in adult learning. I want to explore that in your organization. Quality education is what we all strive for and I want to promote your best practices to our members.
