Primary and Secondary POCs: There is a difference.
Provider points of contact (POCs) are responsible for carrying out the AIA/CES administrative responsibilities within your organization. E-mail is our primary means of contact at AIA/CES, and it is important to designate at least two AIA/CES POCs in your organization. These people must be familiar with our system and involved with administering the courses and reporting the participant credits. The primary POC is generally the manager of the provider’s account and will receive all e-mail messages related to annual provider renewal, provider assessments or other administrative matters. The primary POC also has the ability to
• Edit the provider profile
• Update account
• Add users
Primary point-of-contact, Secondary Point-of-contact and users can
• Register a course
• Report course attendance
• Advertise a course
• View course registration
• View course attendance
• Access the CES Provider Manual, certificate template, and tools and resources
The POC can also add a secondary POC and additional users, so more than one user may be listed. Primary and Secondary POCs receive the CES Provider Connection. Those additional users do not receive official AIA Approved Provider communications, and we encourage Primary and Secondary POCs to forward communications to the other users. For more information, please review the CES Provider Manual.
