CES Discovery Upgrades – Display Course When Session Available

We included a new checkbox on the Course Additional page of the course submission function, Display course when session available.

When the box is checked a provider’s course will only display in the course directories during the date range the provider selects for the course sessions. The Course Additional screen option defaults to unchecked. When the Display course when session available box is unchecked the course is displayed in the course directories until it is marked inactive by the provider.

In the example above, Session 1 would have been displayed in the course directories only on September 14, 2010 if the Display course when session available box on the Course Additional screen was checked.

This feature is a benefit for a provider who would choose a session date range for when registration opens for an event until the end of the event. The listing in the course directories would only show during the designated time period.

A session date may not correspond to the date of the actual event as the session date does not appear on a member’s transcript. The completion date, which is assigned to grading during the report attendance function, appears on a member’s transcript.
