Beginning in 2001, the National Associates Committee began an annual awards program called the NAC Service Awards, to recognize outstanding accomplishments by Associates, as well as firms and registered architects, who have contributed significantly to the development of Associates and interns. In 2004 the NAC joined with the Young Architects Forum (YAF) to co-host an annual awards program, to recognize both Associate and Young Architect members. The submissions are due in the first quarter of the year and the awards presentation is held each year at the AIA National Convention along with the “IDP Firm of the Year”, given by the IDP Coordinating Committee (IDPCC).
