Los Angeles-based architect Michael Maltzan, FAIA, deals with the
complex realities of the urban landscape and an information-driven
culture through buildings that manipulate ground, circulation, and
perception. His belief that architecture can be a catalyst for
change and that it has a potent role in shaping how we experience
the world is evident in a variety of projects. Hear the founding
principal of Michael Maltzan Architecture discuss his firms
work, which includes MoMA QNS, the recently completed Billy Wilder
Theater at the UCLA Hammer Museum, and the Pirelli Re offices in
Milan.
Spotlight on Design is sponsored by Lafarge, the world leader in
construction materials, with additional support from the American
Institute of Architects.
