STANDING CHARGES

1. Coordinate the internship-related activities between and among NCARB and the AIA, ACSA and AIAS.

2. Report to the NCARB Board of Directors and AIA Executive Committee any policies, decisions, or general areas that would be of concern to NCARB or AIA regarding the overall IDP program.

2006-2007 CHARGES

1. Continue to monitor and support the progress of the evaluations begun under the 2005-06 IDPCC, if applicable, formulate recommendations and implementation strategies to submit to the NCARB IDP Committee.

a. IDP Evaluation Final Evaluation Report (May 4, 2005) Resource item 3.5.10 NCARB National Office: NCARB to inform IDPCC of the progress of implementation of the recommendations of the 2005-06 IDPCC NCARB National Office Task Force. Provide a written report of the progress to the NCARB, AIA, AIAS, ACSA, SDA, CACE and NAC Boards at their June 2007 meetings or the next regularly scheduled meeting of the organization following the NCARB annual meeting

b. IDP Evaluation Final Evaluation Report (May 4, 2005) Resource item 2.1.3 Core Competencies: Complete the work of the 2005-06 IDPCC Core Competencies Task Force including a review of the Core Competencies Study at the Fall 2006 meeting and prioritization and assignment of recommendations for distribution to the NCARB IDP Committee. Provide a written report of the progress to the NCARB, AIA, AIAS, ACSA, SDA, CACE and NAC Boards at their June 2007 meetings or the next regularly scheduled meeting of the organization following the NCARB Annual Meeting.

c. IDP Evaluation Final Evaluation Report (May 4, 2005) Resource item 3.5.2 Mentor: AIA, NCARB, ACSA, AIAS, SDA, CACE, and NAC to inform IDPCC of the progress of implementing the recommendations of the 2005-06 IDPCC Mentor Task Force. Provide a written report of the progress to the NCARB, AIA, AIAS, ACSA, SDA, CACE, and NAC Boards at their June 2007 meetings or the next regularly scheduled meeting of the organization following the NCARB annual meeting.

2. IDP Evaluation Final Evaluation Report (May 4, 2005) Resource item 1.2 IDP Outstanding Firm Award: Recommend ways to re-define the award while improving participation and significance of award.

3. IDP Evaluation Final Evaluation Report (May 4, 2005) Resource item 3.5.7 AIA National Office: Conduct an evaluation of the AIA National Component parallel to the NCARB National Office Task Force study conducted in 2005-06. Provide a written report of the progress to the NCARB, AIA, AIAS, ACSA, SDA, CACE, and NAC Boards at their June 2007 meetings or the next regularly scheduled meeting of the organization following the NCARB annual meeting.

4 IDP Evaluation Final Evaluation Report (May 4, 2005) Resource item 2.5.1 Supervisor and 2.2.2 Direct Supervision - NCARB to inform IDPCC of the progress of their review of the Supervisor and Direct Supervision requirements of IDP. IDPCC to provide feedback and recommendations to NCARB IDP Committee as appropriate.

5. IDP Evaluation Final Evaluation Report (May 4, 2005) Resource item 3.5.3 IDP State Coordinator and 3.5.5 IDP Educator Coordinator: AIA to inform IDPCC of the progress of their review of IDP State and recommendations to AIA as appropriate.

6. NCARB to inform IDPCC of their progress to implement an electronic filing option for Council Record Applications and Employment Verification/IDP Training Unit Report Forms. IDPCC to provide feedback and recommendations to NCARB as appropriate.

7. AIA and AIAS to inform IDPCC of their progress on the development of ARCHCareers.org. IDPCC to provide feedback and recommendations to AIA and AIAS as appropriate. Using the 2006 IDP Resources Survey findings and other evaluation methods, IDPCC to make recommendations to clarify confusing and duplicative information on IDP housed on AIA, NCARB, AIAS, ACSA, NAAB, SDA, CACE, and NAC web sites.
