Diversity Recognition Program
This program celebrates and invites the contributions of AIA members toward the goal of a more diverse profession. Up to twelve submissions will be selected annually to be recognized as Diversity Best Practices. All individuals submitting a proposal must sign the waiver/release form. Electronic submissions are preferred and should be sent to diversity@aia.org.

Upjohn Research Initiative Call for Submissions - deadline September 1, 2008
AIA Research Initiatives include the Upjohn Research Initiative, which matches base funds for applied research projects that advance professional practice, and the RFP Research Program, in which the AIA awards up to 10 grants of $7,000 each for selected projects. This grant qualifies recipients to have their findings and outcomes published both electronically in the AIA Soloso online database and in a nationally distributed publication: The American Institute of Architects Report on University Research. 2008 recipients of this grant include the Design for Aging Knowledge Community and Constance Bodurow, Assoc. AIA. of the Regional and Urban Design Committee Knowledge Community.

Members of the Interior Architecture Knowledge Comunity have selected each of the 55 projects based on a criteria of creativity and innovation. This publication presents selected projects in a fresh, reader-friendly format. Winning projects are featured with detailed commentary, plans, captions and colour photographs.
