2008 Southeastern Workshop for Disaster-Resilient
Homes
September 9-10, 2008
Stern Center, College of Charleston, Charleston, South
Carolina
The goal of the Resilient Home Program is to make community
recovery more certain following a natural disaster by dramatically
speeding the return of the residents to their homes. To do so, we
are bringing together key industry leaders, researchers and
government entities to discuss prevention, assessment, response and
rebuilding related to natural disasters common to the southeastern
United States hurricanes, earthquakes and floods. The
Southeastern Region Research Initiative is looking for experts on
the following four panels:
#1: Assessment
#2: Response
#3: Recovery
#4: Success Stories
The Resilient Home Program is part of the Southeastern Region Research Initiative
(SERRI), a Department of Homeland Security Program, and is managed
by the Savannah River National Laboratory.
