University students studying architecture
and design are invited to be the guests of Virginia Society AIA at
Architecture Exchange East, its re-visioned conference
and expo incorporating the successful, sixteen-year-old
Building Virginia, in Richmond at the Greater Richmond
Convention Center, Thursday, November 11 and Friday, November 12,
2004. Paul Goldberger, architecture critic for The New Yorker, will
deliver the keynote address at 10:15 am on Thursday, however
seminars run through 6:00 pm.
Pre-registration by November 4, 2004 is required. Enrollment in
some seminars is limited.
Students should download the University Student Registration Form
from the conference website: www.ArchEx.net. The keynote topic and
open seminar descriptions are detailed on the form. The completed
form should be faxed or mailed to the Society as indicated. Please
note that the registration form lists only Thursday seminars
however you are more than welcome to sign up for Friday offerings
as well.
There are two Friday seminars that would be of particular interest
to Students & Emerging Professionals: #409 Selling
Yourself: Creating the 21st Century Emerging Professionals
Resume and #509 Introducing The Emerging
Professionals Companion. Both of these sessions are designed for
those beginning their careers.
