Podcast: 2010/6/12 – 23:24

Presenters: Ned Cramer and Marc Kushner

“The New Media: Getting You and Your Work Seen, “suggests a deeper connection between social media and design. Whether it’s used to find clients and new design opportunities, to recruit new designers to the cause, or to engage the public with architects’ work directly, social media is helping architects lead new conversation about the importance of design. It’s changed how people socialize online, but will social media change how people practice architecture?

Ned Cramer, editor-in-chief of Architect Magazine, and Marc Kushner, founder of Architizer, the first architecture-based social networking Web site. Since its launch last fall, Architzier has uploaded profiles of projects, firms, and architects, making it the premiere laboratory for social media’s democratizing effect on the deign profession.
