Fulfill Your HSW Continuing Education Needs at the AIA Convention

With nearly 200 education session and over 100 tours, the AIA Convention later this month is a perfect opportunity to earn all of your required learning units in one place. Please note that as of January 1, 2012, AIA members are be required to complete 12 hours of health, safety, and welfare (HSW) education; previously 8 HSW hours were required. The total number of continuing education hours required remains unchanged at 18 total hours, which includes 4 hours of sustainable design (SD) education.

The AIA and the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB) have collaborated to ensure that the content of the seminars and tours for this year’s convention meet the health, safety, and welfare criteria agreed to by both organizations.
