2013 AIA National Convention in Denver: Leadership for Architecture, Leadership Beyond Architecture
The 2013 AIA Convention, held from June 20-22, 2013, in Denver will examine architects’ roles as civic leaders, showcasing ways to be vocal and thoughtful advocates that can advance awareness of how architecture makes people’s lives better.
With the theme of “Leadership for Architecture, Leadership Beyond Architecture,” the annual convention will address such key questions as:
--What must architects do to become recognized leaders in advocating to the government and the public about the importance of design in shaping livable and sustainable communities?
--Who is best suited to lay the strategic groundwork to develop a knowledge network that positions architects as prominent business and community leaders?
--How can architects elevate the public visibility of the profession, promote the AIA brand, and create greater marketplace value for architects?
--How should architects share best practices that facilitate the interests of architects, support the development of emerging professionals, and increase the value of AIA membership?
Architects will convene in Denver to tell these stories and more, empowering their collective voices, sharpening their leadership skills, and sharing visions of how design creates value. Mark your calendars now to be part of this vital leadership experience.
The 2013 convention call for presentations deadline is July 1.
