Guests: Phil Enquist, FAIA

Moderator: Mike Crosbie, Ph.D, AIA

For the first time in AIA history, large-scale planning is the annual convention’s headline theme. One of the recipients of this year’s Regional & Urban Design Award is Skidmore, Ownings and Merrill for its Beijing Central Business District East Expansion project. The plan defines opportunities for the growth of commerce, industry, culture and the arts in this thriving city by establishing a flexible framework for growth and an environmentally sustainable approach to 21st Century city design.

Joining us today is SOM’s Phil Enquist, Partner in Charge of Urban Design Worldwide.
