The AIA 2008 Transitional Agreements for Integrated Project Delivery

Robert Middlebrooks, AIA, is an industry programs manager with Autodesk’s AEC Solutions, specializing in building information modeling (BIM), integrated practice delivery (IPD) adoption, and industry relations.

An architect with more than 25 years of design experience, he was previously a principal of Clark Nexsen, a Virginia-based, 360-person architecture-engineering firm. He has led design projects worldwide, including collaborative design-build and developer-led integrated projects. Middlebrooks also served as the principal for all of the firm’s digital design efforts and oversaw the implementation of full-discipline BIM within the firm.

Having served on the AIA Board of Directors, he has been involved in various IPD task groups, including his current service on the AIA Documents Committee in the task group that developed the electronic protocol documents published in 2007 and the AIA 2008 IPD agreements.
