Mary Maginnis, CFP, provides comprehensive financial planning and investment advice to high net-worth clients. A graduate of the College for Financial Planning in Denver, she works directly with individuals and family members, specializing in family wealth transfers, retirement planning, and philanthropy. Maginiss joined Harris SBSB in McLean, Va. after more than 20 years working in the finance and budgeting at the Congressional Budget Office. She earned the BA degree from St. Mary's College and MBA from George Mason University. Maginiss is a member of the Financial Planning Association and serves on the Professional Advisors Council of the Montgomery County (Md.) Community Foundation and the Alexandria Community Trust. She previously served as treasurer on the Board of Directors of Women in Housing and Finance and volunteers in its financial literacy programs. Maginiss has appeared on television and in newspapers talking about financial planning issues and charitable giving.
