The Etiquette of Discussing Race and Culture in the Firm

 

 

 

 

 

Louis Smith has walked a non traditional career path as an African American Architect. He has worked in government, private practice, education and even founded his own firm. He has lead the Small Project Practitioners Knowledge Community for the last 5 years and served as chair in 2007. He has been a Diversity Speaker at local High schools in Michigan and Build Boston. A strong proponent of diversity and participant in AIA diversity activities, he remains first and foremost a human being.
