Andrew Caruso, AIA | Notes of Interest
A passionate believer that design can enhance world communities, Andrew takes seriously the importance of an informed, diverse, and spirited design dialogue.
In his role as the head of Intern Development and Academic Outreach for Gensler, Andrew develops human capital strategy and advises the firm’s chief executives on emerging talent in the design industry. He directs a portfolio of programs that include: early-career talent acquisition, professional development and licensure, academic outreach, student internships, scholarships, and global talent mobility.
He is an ardent advocate for shaping social, physical and economic equity through the built environment. Examining the intersection of ecology, transportation, public health, and tourism within contemporary cities, Andrew firmly believes that architects are called to be policy makers with a spatial vocabulary.
