• Scope of Service in the document or as reference document (decision by the UIA PPC and report back to FIDIC)

• Possible review of Dispute and Arbitration clause (proposal for wording will be made by UIA to FIDIC)

Production and distribution

• Publishing and distribution only through FIDIC

• Distribution mainly in electronic version

• Link on UIA web-site for on-line order at FIDIC web-site (preferably with look and feel of UIA web-site)

• Ca. 400 hard-copies for promotional services for UIA; FIDIC will make an offer indicating printing cost and other costs (copyright, handling fee, margin)

• Copyright rests with FIDIC

• FIDIC sends draft agreement FIDIC-UIA to JF and TP; review clause after 1 year concerning price calculation for UIA hard-copies

• Launching of the Client / Architects Agreement at an appropriate event in 2009, UIA and FIDIC together

Motion:

• The PPC considers its work on the Client/Architect Agreement successfully accomplished as soon as the Guideline on Scope of Practice is fully developed, which will be part of the Agreement.

• The PPC refers the negotiations on publication, costing, and licensure with FIDIC to the UIA Bureau and UIA Council.

• The PPC refers the planning of a launching event of the Agreement to the UIA Communication Committee.
