The Building Information Model (BIM) Awards, given by AIA Technology in the Architectural Practice Knowledge Community (TAP), honors projects that highlight proven strategies and the latest trends in design and technology in the building industry.

2005 Award Winners
Six projects were selected as winners of the first annual BIM Awards. The projects and their architects were announced at the BIM Awards Luncheon, which took place during TAP’s workshop, “Betting on the Future of Architecture.”

2006 Award Winners
The second annual BIM Awards recognized seven citation winners and one honorable mention during its Spring 2006 conference, Models for the Future of the Architecture Profession: The Risks, Rewards, and Opportunities of Technology in Los Angeles.

2007 Award Winners
The third annual BIM Awards honored nine projects that highlighted proven strategies and the latest trends in design and technology in the building industry. The winners included newly constructed structures ranging from academic buildings and a government agency headquarters to a personal residence and an opera house.

2008 Award Winners
The 2008 Awards reveal a broadening acceptance of BIM. This year's winning submissions also show many people giving voice to expansive - and sometimes conflicting - ideas about this advanced technology tool set and the refined business process BIM enables.

2009 Award Winners
The fifth annual Building Information Model (BIM) Awards, honored nine projects that highlighted proven strategies and the latest trends in design and technology in the building industry.
