For immediate release:
Washington, D.C., May 14, 2010 - The American Institute of Architects (AIA) announced that Association Strategies, Inc (ASI), a premiere executive search and transition management firm, was selected to facilitate its search for an Executive Vice President/CEO. The nation-wide search assignment is the result of a vacancy created by the resignation of current EVP/CEO Christine W. McEntee, who will depart the AIA on July 23, 2010 to become the Executive Director of the American Geophysical Union.
Leading the ASI search team is President and Founder Pamela Kaul, who headed a similar search effort for the AIA in 2005. Since then, Kaul continued to provide search-related services to the AIA and brings a deep understanding and commitment to the AIA and this assignment.
"We are pleased that Pamela Kaul is working with the AIA on this important search for a new staff leader," said AIA President George H. Miller, FAIA. "The insights from her many conversations with AIA members, volunteer leaders, and chapter executives over the past few years give me great confidence that we will select a talented and capable individual to lead the AIA.”
President Miller will appoint a selection committee that will work closely with ASI during the candidate search.
