Global projects will be featured online in a virtual exhibition
WHAT: Call-for-submissions for the American Institute of Architects (AIA) Design for Decades exhibition. The featured projects will highlight the best examples of design excellence from around the world by AIA members.
Design for Decades is open to AIA members’ projects from every facet of the architectural design arena. The purpose of this undertaking is to feature works of all scales and types that represent the scope and quality of work being done by AIA members. Entries including small, large, commercial, residential, public, private, interiors, historic preservation, engineering, landscape and urban design projects will be accepted.
Members can submit up to four projects that could be selected and featured online in a virtual exhibition. Projects selected for the Design for the Decades website will also be considered for exhibition at venues such as the new ground floor gallery of the AIA Headquarters, the 2011 AIA Convention and other locations suggested by AIA chapters from around the country.
For more information on the submission process please visit this website. Please note there is a $25 entry fee to be paid online. Each project requires a separate and complete submission and fee, with a limit of four per member or firm.
WHO: Design for Decades is open to all AIA members including associate, international
associate and allied members. Non-members may participate by joining the AIA. Please
contact your local chapter.
WHEN: Deadline for submissions is November 12, 2010. Projects selected will be
featured in a virtual exhibition.
