The AIA and NCARB have partnered once again to the launch Internship & Career Survey, an effort to document the recent history and present state of architectural internship and registration. The fourth survey of its kind, the information will be used independently as well as in comparison studies with the 2003, 2005, and 2007 Internship & Career Surveys to set the tone for discussion on internship within the AIA and the profession.

Data was collected via the Internet between January 6 and January 25, 2010. A total of 10,500 qualified and usable responses were received from the sample of 54,692. Percentages based on all 10,500 returns are subject to a margin of error of ± 0.89% at the 95% confidence level.
