In 2007, the AIA National Associates Committee and NCARB launched the third Internship & Career Survey, an effort to document the recent history and present state of architectural internship and registration. The information will be used independantly as well as in comparison studies with the 2003 and 2005 Internship & Career Surveys to set the tone for discussion on internship within the AIA.

Data was collected via the Internet between November 7 and November 26, 2007. A total of 8,598 qualified and usable responses were received from the sample of 36,343. Percentages based on all 8,598 returns are subject to a margin of error of ± 0.9% at the 95% confidence level..
