Committee on Architecture for Education
MISSION STATEMENT The Committee on Architecture for Education (CAE) is a large and active group of architects and allied professionals concerned with the quality and design of all types of educational, cultural, and recreational facilities. While a large portion of our members practice in the K-12 and higher education markets, we look to serve the needs of those in the entire pre-K to 99 market. CAE identifies national educational facility issues critical to architects and works to strengthen relationships with allied organizations, client groups, and the public.
GOALS To focus on effective project delivery, team building, collaboration, project management, financial management, communications skills, management skills, and cutting-edge design issues for architects providing the diversified services associated with educational architecture.
PATHWAYS TO INVOLVEMENT Many of you have asked how to become more involved in the Committee for Architecture in Education (CAE). In addition to attending our two annual conferences, we hope you’ll join us in making CAE a learning community that’s increasingly your first-stop reference for best practices in school design. This is a great way to get to know colleagues from around the country and share insights and resources in a noncompetitive environment. If you are interested in learning how you can participate as a Committee on Architecture for Education leader or subcommittee leader, please contact cae@aia.org.
