The following images are available for download as both .PNG and .JPEG format. AIA is offering images in the newer .PNG format in place of the older .TIFF format because .PNG offers the same high resolution at a smaller file size. If your print department cannot use the .PNG format, you will find instructions here on converting .PNG files to .TIFFs.

Note to Windows users: For easy download, do a right-side (opposite) mouse-click over the "PNG/JPG" option above, then select "Save" from the menu. Please note that all listed file sizes are approximate.

Using the .PNG format

If you are using Adobe Photoshop version 5.5 or later, you can read and use the .PNG format. However, if you would still like to convert the .PNG to a .TIFF, here is the procedure.

  1. Open Photoshop
  2. Click File and then Open on the menu that drops down.
  3. Navigate to the drive and directory where you saved the .PNG file and double-click on the name of the file.
  4. Once the file has opened, click on File again and select Save As from the menu.
  5. A screen entitled Save As will open. Locate the drop down box labeled Format. The value listed in it should be .PNG.
  6. Click the arrow to the right of the drop down box that has .PNG in it. A list of file formats will appear. Scroll down the list until you find .TIFF and click on it.
  7. Rename the file if you wish and click the Save button. A .TIFF version of the .PNG will be saved in the same folder as the .PNG.
