Mission
of the Academy Journal
As the official journal of the Academy
of Architecture for Health (AAH), this annual publication will
explore subjects of interest to AIA-AAH members and to others involved
in the fields of healthcare architecture, planning, design and construction.
Our goal is to promote awareness, educational exchange and advancement
of our overall project delivery process and building products.

for this issue, but it was considered.
Professional Value
Does the topic offer something of value to the Academy and the profession
in general?
Timeliness
Is the topic timely, and does it relate to the issues in healthcare?
Content and Format
How does the article feel in terms of composition, wording, and
style?
Intention and Purpose
Is the message clear ? Does the purpose fulfill the objective in
a thought-provoking manner?
