2018 AIA East Kentucky Scholarship Awarded
The 2018 AIA East Kentucky Scholarship (supported by matching grant funds from AIA National) was presented to the following students at the University of Kentucky’s College of Design:
Alexander Parham, 2nd year Student
"Currently, my future goals are to go through the graduate program at a top university and to be able to join an architecture firm that continually pushes the boundaries of Architecture. I have always also had a passion for clothing and other design in general and I plan to use the knowledge gained from this design field to go beyond just architecture at some point."
Kadin Setters, 2nd year Student
"I was ecstatic to learn I was selected for an AIA scholarship. I will be entering my sophomore year in the undergraduate architecture program at the University of Kentucky. I plan to continue in the program through my graduate years. I have many dreams including learning as much as possible about architecture, obtaining a position in a recognized architectural firm, and eventually, possibly teaching."
Daniella Boger, 3rd year Student
"I was born in Germany. When I was 3 years old my family immigrated to Canada. I went on to go to school in Canada and graduated from Northlands Parkway Colligate in 2014 as an honor student. Following my high school graduation, I moved to the US. I will be a junior this fall at the University of Kentucky. I currently hold a 4.0 GPA. I would love to practice architecture internationally as I am trilingual and love travelling and learning about new places."
Congratulations and best wishes to each of these deserving recipients!
