Remembering Ray Jaminet

Ray Jaminet

Local Architect Leaves a Lasting Memory in the Mahoning Valley

Ray Jaminet was an integral part of the Youngstown skyline and surrounding cities. Starting his career here in Youngstown in the early 1960s, Ray had help to shape the campus our local Youngstown State University and the Historical Center of Industry and Labor. He has enhanced the learning community with many local K-12 schools around the Mahoning Valley including Youngstown, and Warren. His most recent endeavor was the restoration and renovation of the Youngstown Municipal Court.

He was not just passionate about his designs, but also in support, contribution, and service with our local chapter and his community.  Ray passed away on March 30, 2018 and will be dearly missed. His legacy will forever live on in the bricks and mortar of the city we call home.
