AMP 2018-19 Kickoff
The seven-session Architect Mentor Program (AMP) kicked off in Milwaukee with a program exploring personal leadership skills as well as the role of architects as leaders in their communities and profession. Discussion leaders included Richard Swett, FAIA, former Ambassador to Denmark and U.S Representative from New Hampshire, Kevin Flynn, FAIA, EVP of Kiku Obata & Company in St. Louis and President-elect of NAAB, and Lisa Kennedy, FAIA, a founding member of the AIA Leadership Institute and a Regional Representative for the AIA College of Fellows.
AIA Wisconsin members in the inaugural AMP class graduating next spring are: Diana Davis, AIA, with Plunkett Raysich Architects LLP; Mary Edwards, AIA, with Quorum Architects, Inc.; Nicholas Mather, AIA, Deep River Architects Ltd.; Ryan McKichan, AIA, Architectural Design Consultants, Inc.; Kurt Peters, AIA, The Boldt Company; Kimberly Reddin, AIA, Flad Architects; and Sarah Skalitzky, AIA, KEE Architecture, Inc. The co-coordinators of this leadership training initiative are Henry Kosarzycki, AIA, and Stacey Keller, AIA.
The second AMP session on marketing, business development and strategic planning is in October in Madison.
